Difference Between Colours Ways & Colour Story

People are often confused by the term Colour Story and Colour ways.

Today, I want to simplify things for you. 

What is the colourway? 

A colourway is a design that is created in an alternate colour palette to the original design. There are several different combinations of colours in which a given pattern can be printed on fabrics, wallpapers, etc

Color is one of the choices we make when developing a product. Colourways are colour arrangements or color combinations available for a particular style or design. Shirts can be selected in seven different colors; these seven colors are known as Seven colorways. Customers have a choice in between seven.

What is the Colour story? 

Choosing colors for a single outfit can be referred to as a colour story. Designers use it to create collections, while magazine stylists use it to style spreads. Let me put it this way. Colours in design collections tell a story. A color story is the 2-5 colors you choose to build your outfit design

Color defines your sense of style. This is an amazing way to get noticed. It is essential to develop a color story before starting a collection. Whatever you choose, no matter what colors you choose, they must all blend well together. It is hard to know which colors suit on your complexion or which ones mean the most to you.

Designers may choose to use a picture as an inspiration, while others may choose to use paintings or photographs. Today, forecasting services are another important resource that a large majority of the fashion world utilizes. Depending on their capabilities, they may provide color swatches, silhouettes, and textile forecasts in a variety of different ways.
